Thoughts on Meme coins

I can safely say that the golden era of meme coins are gone.

One reason was meme coins were as big as it was in the past was due to the perceived safety from regulations classifying it as a security and dooming the coin. The same thesis can be also applied to NFTs. However having a crypto treasury listed company for CryptoPunks is a fantastic idea due to scarcity and historical significance.

It makes no sense to invest in a "culture" coin with the current US regime when one can invest in coins that offer better utility without fear of getting shut down by the regulators. Granted that there will always be a few meme that will stay relevant, just like how GME and the likes refuse to fade.

So is BONK one of the select few that refuses to die? My short on BONK conviction is beginning to waver.
